Neymar Jr. Leaves Nike/Jordan Brand, Signs Multi-Year Deal With Puma

Brazillian football player and former Olympic gold medalist Neymar Jr. has announced the end of his partnership with Nike and Jordan Brand and subsequent signing with Puma. The 28-year-old star athlete had been with the Swoosh since 2016, releasing a variety of colorways of beloved silhouettes under his name such as an Air Jordan 5 Low and, most recently, his own take on the all-new Air Max 2090. The self-proclaimed “Puma King” revealed his new deal via a hand-written letter he shared on Instagram where he reminisces on his time watching previous greats in the sport such as Maradonna and Pele and the inspiration they’ve instilled him both as a player and a person. While the letter did not reveal what Neymar’s first collaboration or signature model with Puma would look like, he has been quick to show his love for many of the brand’s current rotation of silhouettes. In the images below, he can be seen posing with a variety of RS-X and Suede Classic colorways and was also spotted wearing a triple-black Puma cleat during practice.
