For a while, Fear of God’s future as a Nike partner was looking shaky with the Air Fear of God 1 ‘String’ being postponed and rumors going around that the two brands had parted way. But, for now, at least, FoG and Nike are going full force.
Their next release is the OG Air Fear of God 1 in a triple-black treatment. This will be the first Air Fear of God to feature a black double-stacked Air 180 unit in the heel instead of the translucent blue units seen in the past. These sneakers are triple black in the truest sense – from the laces to the Air unit, this is the sleekest we’ve seen the FoG 1s.
Not only do they share similar names, but the upper on the ‘Triple Black’ is identical to the ‘Black‘ iteration released last year, both in color and materials. The upper is composed of a premium, weaved material while the toebox comes in a fine, slightly lighter shade of black suede. The lace cage, padded ankle, and zipper + laces entry system also remain unchanged.
The Nike Air Fear of God 1 ‘Triple Black’ releases worldwide on April 25th for $450 CAD / $350 USD.
