The Nike Air Zoom Generation “Purple Suede” is a PE not introduced until 2018, and it may have just been a harbinger of things to come for LeBron James. The purped-out silhouette was worn by LeBron during Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals, a series that Golden State would go on to win and that would be James’ last in Cleveland. The next time he decided to rock the pair, along with a pair of Lakers shorts by Don C, LeBron was watching Los Angeles in a Summer League game having recently signed with the team as a free agent.
Now, nearly five years after they were first spotted, the “Purple Suedes” are getting a general release. A slight deviation defines the pair, as both suede and nubuck are used for the all-purple upper. What remains, however, is an absolute color treatment for the Air Zoom Generation, including a semi-translucent outsole.
The Air Zoom Generation “Purple Suede,” or officially “Court Purple,” is expected to release June 21st for $190. It’ll come as part of a wider revival of LeBron’s first signature sneaker and is one of the most anticipated of all. Â Download the DROPS by SoleSavy app to stay informed on all your sneaker news.
