The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon 2 Caged saw a quick return to the public consciousness with its recent Stussy makeover. Both colorways of the Stussy Nike Air Zoom Spiridon 2 Caged proved to be massive success with the streetwear icon’s modernized take on the vintage silhouette. With the sneakers back on everyone’s radar, Nike has announced the release of two OG Nike Air Zoom Spiridon 2 Caged colorways, ‘Smoke Grey’ and ‘Track Red’.
While the silhouette remains the same – exterior caging on a mesh upper, Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel, signature midsole – the choice of colors are as vintage as they can get. The ‘Track Red’ Spiridon replicates the look of classic sports cars with its bright red mesh supported by metallic silver caging. The ‘Smoke Rey’ iteration eschews the red mesh and opts for metallic silver across every part of the sneaker, much like the iconic “Silver Bullet” Air Max 97s.
Fans can expect both versions of the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon 2 Caged to drop April 13th.
