Ja Morant’s debut silhouette, the Nike Ja 1, is one for the ages.
The economically priced sneaker maintains a level of cool only Ja could reach and is filled with personal details about the 23-year-old All-Star. Ja has already broken out a myriad of colorways of his upcoming sneaker, but at the event debuting the Nike Ja 1 an all-new, unworn colorway was unveiled.
The Nike Ja 1 “Scratch” is a homage to the iconic Vancouver Grizzlies colorway that was recently revitalized during the 2020 NBA season. The sneaker features a teal ballistic mesh base with matching leather overlays. Red accents highlight the sockliner of the shoe while claw marks drawn from the vintage Grizzlies logo appear throughout the silhouette including the midsole, the toe, and Swoosh. A brown tongue tag representing the Grizz mascot of yesteryear completes the look.
A release for the Nike Ja 1 “Scratch” has yet to be revealed but look for it to be released via Nike and select retailers for $110.
