It’s been five iterations of Kevin Durant’s signature sneaker since Nike last gave it the “What The” treatment, but the everything bagel of colorways is making its return on the KD 15.
Ten of the 20-plus KD 15 colorways released so far are represented across the mismatched sneakers. “Psychic Purple” and “B.A.D.” cages swap places across the medial and lateral sides of the two shoes. The left sneaker utilizes an “Aunt Pearl” base with highlights including the “Brooklyn Courts” heel and the “Beginnings” tongue. “Psychic Purple” also marks the starting point for the right shoe, while the tongue also pulls from “Aunt Pearl”
The “What The” theme, which debuted on the SB Dunk Low in 2007, was once a staple for the KD line as it appeared on every model from the KD 5 through KD 10, with the exception of the KD 9. Recent years have saw it fall out of favor, though, even with its popularity in the wider division of Nike Basketball.
A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but the KD “What The” is expected to drop in the near future for $160. For updates on this pair and more, download the DROPS by SoleSavy app.
