The first posthumous Nike Kobe sneaker will be the Kobe 5 Protro in a ‘Lakers’ purple/yellow/black colorway. Having originally debuted on-court by Anthony Davis shortly after Bryant’s untimely death, it was unclear when Nike would relaunch his line. We now have an answer, with the newest iteration of the Protro 5.
The upper comes in a glossy, crinkled leather in a deep Lakers purple and matte black leather on the toebox, the middle portion of the shoe and the heel. A golden lining outlines the black Swooshes and paneling while a white EVA foam midsole with a double-seized Zoom Air Unit encapsulated in the white EVA foam midsole and a frosted blue outsole finishes off the look.
