To celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, Nike and Converse revealed official images of a multiple sneaker collection for Pride Month. Headlining the collection is the AF1, the first in the “BeTrue” Collection, which is made up of white glossy and gradient details on the uppers that pay homage to New York City ballroom culture in the mid-’80s.
On the back, a 10-color heel mark that draws inspiration from Philadelphia’s “More Color, More Pride” flag that was introduced in 2017. Nike has also added brown and black flags to celebrate those of color in the LGBTQIA+ community. An Air Max 2090, Air Deschutz and nine Chuck Taylor’s are set to release as well.
The Nike BeTrue Collection releases in China on June 5th and globally and on Nike.com June 19th, and the Converse Pride Month Collection releases globally on May 29th. To see the full sneaker lineup, click here.
