Parley, adidas Continue to Run for the Oceans This Summer

Parley for the Ocean and adidas continue to partner up to bring sustainability to the forefront of performance and sport.

As World Oceans Day arrives on June 8, adidas and Parley for the Oceans return for its fifth Run for the Oceans initiative uniting sporting communities across the world to participate and create change — one step at a time. For every 10 minutes of running recording via the adidas Runtastic app, Joyrun, Codoon, Yeugongquan, or Strava, Parley will clean up the equivalent weight of one plastic bottle from beaches, remote islands, and coastlines before it reaches the ocean.

Since 2017, adidas and Parleyâ€s Run for the Oceans has united over 8.2 million runners worldwide for a combined total of more than 81.7 million kilometers (~5 million miles).

In addition to the running initiative, the collaborative effort takes over the adidas Ulltraboost 22 in a men’s and women’s version. Both colorways are made with recycled materials, furthering the partnership’s commitment to a better tomorrow.
