Nike and Paul George announce the latest collaboration with PlayStation. The collaborative effort draws from PG’s love for video games and Nike’s relationship with PlayStation.
It’s fitting that the PG5 and the PS5 team up on the latest crossover. The obvious nods to the PS5 with the all-white upper and black and blue accents are found across the pair. In addition to that, a commemorative hangtag and the iconic controller buttons are found on the pair.
Interestingly enough, Nike brought the PS5 to life with no first-hand visualization of the console as the Sony team was strict on its latest achievement. Sony Interactive Entertainment art director Yujin Morisawa verbally described the PS5 to the Nike team as actual images of the console couldn’t be shared, according to Sole Collector.
The PlayStation x Nike PG 5 “PS5” releases on May 14 globally, followed by a North American launch on May 27 for $120 USD.
