For its first collaboration with adidas, Private Sneakers looked to the city it calls home for inspiration. Long Beach, CA, is known as one of the most bike-friendly cities in the entire United States and even ranked as high as the top 10 in recent years. From its beautiful Southern California weather to beach views, it’s hard to argue with its ranking for biking, and that reputation comes to life on the Private Sneakers x adidas Campus 80 that releases later this month.
Limited to 300 pairs, the design uses cool grey leather nubuck, cool grey leather, and hits of 3M reflective material for style and safety. The insole features a map of the Long Beach biking routes and trails. The green glow-in-dark details were inspired by the bridge of Long Beach and the glow the lights portray over the water. The pair also comes with a pair of glow-in-the-dark laces.
