LaMelo Ball’s second signature sneaker from Puma is bout to be buzzin’.
The MB.02 will soon release in a “Honeycomb” colorway that channels the Charlotte Hornets’ “Buzz City” alternative uniforms. Its light green shade (Puma’s description of the color, not ours) is inspired by the Charlotte Mint, which opened in 1837 as the country’s first mint after North Carolina experienced the country’s first gold rush. The building ceased operations as a mint during the Civil War, and today coins produced there are some of the most sought-after by collectors.
Scarce hits of gold can be found on the medial’s wing detailing, along with the tongue and heel logos and upper most eyelet paneling. On the tech front, the MB.02 boasts a Nitro foam infused midsole designed for high-energy, explosive play. The upper features woven mesh and multizone targeted support.
