Salomon has recently been flexing its muscles, unearthing some head-turning collaborations.
We have long discussed the impact Gorpcore has had on the rise in popularity of the French brand. Now that Salomon has established its space within the sneaker community, the brand is starting to show off, rightfully so.
Thanks to the impact of affluential figures like Rihanna and Ronnie Fieg, the brand has grown in popularity in recent years. With their foot firmly in the door, Salomon has really hit a stride. That feeling is clearly felt, and seen, in their recent and upcoming collaborations.

Just in the past few weeks, Salomon teamed up with Size? to release a pair of XT-6, Salomon’s marquee lifestyle sneaker, to commemorate Size?’s 25th anniversary. Dubbed the “Ember” colorway, the sneaker takes an all black XT-6 and dresses it with gradient orange. The sharp contrast made for a flashy shoe- quickly beloved by fans of the French sneaker company. Much like the nickname given to the shoe, this collaboration only lit up the fire that is Salomon’s current run.
Salomon quickly followed up their collaborative project with Size? by connecting with German retailer Asphaltgold for the first time. This new partnership introduced the “Transit” sneaker on the Salomon XT-4.
The precursor to the XT-6, the XT-4 has become a bit of an underdog in the face of the sneaker that followed it. Asphaltgold took the sneaker, originally released in 2012, and created a sneaker intended to be your favorite travel companion. With the light nature of the sneaker, as well as the mix of subtle but flashy upper, who could argue against them?
Perhaps one of Salomon’s biggest collaborative partners, in terms of the space it occupies in the world of sneakers, is Canadian label JJJJound. After first linking up in 2023, JJJJound has one again stepped up to the plate, this time knocking the XT-6 out of the park.
The collaboration comes with a wild pivot, though. JJJJound, known for their subtle approach and muted colorways, is delivering a flashy blue and yellow colorway. The drastic change has been noticed, and appreciated, by the Canadian brand’s loyal fanbase. When JJJJound opened the early access period for the sneaker, the pair flew off the virtual-Canadian shelves. Though a more muted colorway is also releasing as part of this collection, the bright blue pair will surely remain as a marquee collaboration in the history of both JJJJound and Salomon.
Just today, Salomon and END. announced their latest collaboration. Though the two linked up to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary earlier this spring on the XT-6, the partnership is now tackling a new model.
The upcoming ‘Avocado’ collaboration is on the XT-Whisper Void. The Whisper, which made it’s return earlier this year, is already receiving a retooling with the latest Void update. END.’s collaborative effort comes shortly after the brand introduced the updated silhouette in a collaboration with British singer-song writer Ama. Now, END puts their touches on the sneaker in hopes of helping it achieve the acclaim it’s predecessor models have.

Salomon tapping Ama is a sign of how in tune the brand is, too. Not only are they attempting to catch the attention of hikers and hypebeast with quarter life crises, but also the audience that comes with supporting major artist. In truth, this method of collaborating with musicians has helped other brands achive success. Salomon tapping into artist should be an encouraging sign for fans of the brand.
Teased for what feels like a year now, Feid’s partnership with Salomon is finally nearing. Over the weekend, Feid wore his upcoming collaboration on the XT-Pathway 2 at the Hard Summer Festival in Los Angeles. The Colombian artist brought out Snoop Dogg who, of course, was dressed in Feid’s F&F XT-4 that was revealed last year to announce the partnership.

Salomon getting a spotlight in such a moment only benefits the brands exposure. Furthermore, it cements Feid’s prescience in the sneaker space, and shows us that Salomon is capable of capturing significant pop-culture moments the same way other sneaker brands have in the past.

Wether it be helping boutique partners celebrate milestones, allowing a beloved imprint to flip expectations on their head, or establishing relationships with growing artists, Salomon is tapped in.
More than that, the French brand is very impressively throwing out hit after hit this second half of 2025. As the sneaker space continues its never-ending rat race, this current run from the brand is one to admire and appreciate.
