Scoot Henderson, 18, has signed a multi-year 7-figure deal with PUMA Hoops, according to a story by The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.
Henderson became one of the youngest professional basketball players in the country when he signed a two-year deal with the NBA G League Ignite as a high school junior in 2021. The top-three prospect of the 2023 NBA Draft just signed another historic deal.
According to Charania, Henderson is signing an annual seven-figure, multi-year endorsement contract with PUMA. It is reportedly the “richest deal ever for a non-draft-eligible basketball player,” according to The Athletic. Henderson’s deal has the ability to reach eight figures based on several factors, those sources said.
Henderson averaged 14 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 11 games for the Ignite this past season.
