With the NBA officially back, Skechers has made its entrance into the basketball market official with a duo of NBA players and new sneaker models. Julius Randle and Terrance Mann will follow up their media day teasers by competing in Skechers this season. It is unclear whether Joel Embiid, who was rumored to sign a deal with Skechers, will join the roster. The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers stars will be able to take their pick between two all-new silhouettes, the SKX Resagrip and SKX float.
In a press release, Skechers described the SKX Resagrip as “the perfect hybrid of form and function.” The midtop silhouette is designed for players who move at top speed by using next-level cushioning and responsiveness to accommodate quick and explosive movements. The SKX FLOAT prioritizes stability with a strategically placed TPU to help lock the foot in place and a lightweight Swirl Tech™ design for flexibility. Both models leverage Goodyear outsoles, Skechers Hyper Burst cushioning, and a Hyper Burst Pro sockliner.
The Skechers Basketball footwear collection will be available next week at skechersbasketball.com and select Skechers retail stores in North America, the Philippines, and China. More colorways will be released later this fall and low-top versions will arrive in Spring 2024.
