author

As the cooler weather comes in, the cooler kicks follow suit. The long-awaited Air Jordan 1 “Taxi” was released to the wider public and Nike showed love to its NBHD accounts with the boutique-exclusive Air Jordan 1 “Heirloom.” Salehe Bembury and Crocs returned for their latest offering the “Blue Tide” Pollex Clog. Take a look at everything that was released and restocked last week.

FCFS (first come, first serve) Release Shoutouts

  • Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog ‘Blue Tide’: Password protected drop with the password to enter the site being emailed to anyone who signed up for the site’s newsletter. For the first time ever the BeASpunge website used hCaptcha bot protection which led to short queue times and overall a pretty straightforward and easy cop. Shoes started to sell out around 5 minutes after the site opened and fully sold out in 12 minutes.

  • Air Jordan 1 High ‘Denim’: First North American Drops started to show up on Thursday, September 22nd. The stock level was lower than average but pairs were easy to grab as they showed up in Drop Alerts.
  • Nike x Comme des Garçons Air Max 97 pack: Dropped exclusively through Dover Street Market. Both colorways are still in stock.
  • Air Jordan 1 High ‘Taxi’: Late shipments delayed most of the Canadian options and some sites did not drop men’s sizes. SoleSavy members can use Drop Alerts to stay on top of when these late shipments arrive. Shoe was well-stocked but in high demand, Shoe Palace and JD Sports/Finishline had the most stock at over 1000 pairs each. DTLR was also a solid option despite having less pairs due to using hCaptcha instead of reCaptcha for bot protection. The shoe sold out at most boutiques but did not sell out at Shoe Palace. Additional pairs were also in stock and available on Nike US.

Community Wins

  • Yeezy Slide ‘Resin’: One of the better stocked Yeezy Slide drops as most big stores saw over 1000 pairs, Dicks Sporting Goods having 5735 pairs total.Smaller boutique stores opted tor raffle most stock but those that did drop FCFS had just a little over 100 pairs. Sell out times at boutiques averaged around 45 seconds.

  • Canary Yellow Restocks the Off-White X Converse Chuck Taylor High

quotes

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
