How to Install SNKRS App In Canada for iOS and Android

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As we all anxiously await the arrival of the desktop version of SNKRS for Canada, there are still plenty of releases that will surely be hitting the app until then. The SNKRS app is only available through the US App Store. So first things first, you’ll need to create a US Apple ID. Head over to https://appleid.apple.com/account and set up a brand new account. Fill out the forms and make sure your country/region is set to United States. Use a US address such as your PO box. After all that is set up you’ll be asked to verify the account, and Apple will send a code to your e-mail.

Now that you have a US Apple ID set up, it’s time to switch over to the US app store so you can download the app.

Note: Every time you switch from the Canadian App Store to the US, it will reset your Apple Music library, and you’ll have to resync your your Apple Music library. Download music will not be removed.

To change your account to the new one you created you need to open the App Store and then at the top right hand corner tap on your profile picture. From there you can log out and login to your accounts.

Now that you are logged into the US app store account you can search ‘SNKRS’. The icon should appear, and just press download.

In the rare case that it doesn’t show up, or you can’t get your account to switch over to the US store there is a work around. Head to Safari or Chrome and search SNKRS app. It should come up as one of the first search results. Click the link and it should redirect you to the US app store on your iPhone.

That’s it! Open up the SNKRS app once is completed download and you should be greeted by a little animation that plays. This will happen every time you open the app. Log in with your SNKRS/Nike+ account and make sure you turn notifications on for the app.

Open settings and tap on the ‘Apps & Notifications’ section. Then scroll down to ‘Special App Access’, and from there scroll down to install unknown apps. Make sure that ‘Chrome’ and ‘ES File Explorer’ are set to allowed. (*ES File Explorer will allow you to access the APK, if you can’t access it through Chrome).

With Android you’re going to want to install SNKRS manually by using the App APK. Using your device head over to https://apkpure.com/nike-snkrs/com.nike.snkrs and click download. The download should start immediately and load up on your Android device.

Note the SNKRS app for Android will not send notifications of an app update. So you will have to install updates manually. We will usually post in Slack once updates are live.

After that, it’s pretty simple. Open up the SNKRS app and log in with your SNKRS/Nike+ account. Make sure notifications are turned on, and fill out your profile with payment and shipping info for a speedy checkout process.
