The Miami-based boutique SoleFly has a long history of collaboration with Jordan Brand throughout its decade-plus history. Over the years SoleFly has put its touch on the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3, and Air Jordan 10 all while implementing a high level of storytelling in the sneaker. For their next collaboration, SoleFly and Jordan are linking up for a remix of the Air Jordan 13 that pays homage to both His Airness’ alma mater UNC and his fishing boat Catch 23 in Jupiter, Florida.
The upcoming silhouette combines a slew of materials with ripstop, suede, and velvet on the sockliner The sneaker comes dressed in a gray base with cream accents on the toe box and tongue. Light oceanic blue appears on the overlays midsole and inner sockliner which features a textured pattern to emulate flowing waters. SoleFly branded tongues and elephant print insoles matching the elephant print of Jordan’s Catch 23 complete the look. The specially designed packaging ties the theme together with its ocean imagery on the top of the box.
