SoleSavy March 2021 Update

One approach I am going to take into this year is to build SoleSavy as transparently as we can so that you have an insight into what we are planning over the coming weeks, months or even into next year. So with that said, here is a bit of a brain dump of some higher level things we are working on and thinking through these days as a team:
  1. Events: We are very excited to get back to real life and events for our members thats not just about a trading pit for sneakers but more social fun and experiences. We did Toronto, LA, Vegas, Chicago, Toronto before the pandemic and it was a fcking blast. Whenever the world opens up, we will be right there inviting you all to participate again with private events and experiences.
  2. Miami Art Basel: The one event we are currently targeting that seems realistic is Art Basel in Miami the first week of December 2021. We’re moving forward as if this is realistic and we plan to curate an activation and event that will be epic.
  3. Digital Experiences: Regardless of when we can do more things outside, we want to help connect members online more through digital experiences and one of those ideas is a private member type AMA (Ask me anything) over zoom. We’re planning to have Mitch, Anna and Marco from our team do the first one as I think there is a ton you can all learn and absorb from them and their previous experiences to SoleSavy. I have access to a few NFL players, NBA players and celebrities we can tap into next as well!
  4. Trading Sneakers: I know this is something a ton of you already do but it is currently moving up towards the top of our list for features to launch for members soon because of some strategic opportunities that have come up. The idea being, we can help you trade shoes with another member through a member software system that keeps you both protected!
  5. Inventory your Collection: Whats likely next on the radar is a way for you to index and inventory your entire collection so you know what you own, condition etc. Kinda like the StockX portfolio but geared towards your personal use and not reselling. This can obviously have its perks for you personally but also for the rest of the community as you can say here’s a link to what I have and what I am looking for.
  6. Peer to Peer Marketplace: this will then lead to the big play for us this year which is a marketplace for you to buy/sell/trade/show off your collections thats focused on the people and your story/collection and not about shilling shoes. There’s a lot to unpack here so trust me, we will do this tastefully and very thoughtfully to ensure we get it right.
  7. Womxns Community: Anna and Marco are working away diligently on this to help us launch an inclusive community for womxn sneakerheads. I know you may have a lot of questions if this applies to you but give us another week or two to nail down the logistics.
  8. Monitor updates: will keep this short as we are going to be pushing new updates and improvements to all the monitors any day now. The next stage would be to create a preference panel for you to really fine tune what alerts you get but we likely wont see that for a few months.
  9. Hiring: we are always going to post in the community first to give you/your network a chance to see job postings first as we grow and build all these assume features. If you know any developers/engineers or product designers please send them to https://solesavy.recruitee.com/ and make sure they mention you referred them. If we hire someone I will buy you any shoe you want on StockX up to $1,000.
  10. Our Member Store: With the baby due in less than 8 weeks, there is a good chance the store closes for 1-2 months while we figure out how to do this logistically. Right now its all out of my garage with my wife helping which we wont be able to continue lol Everyones orders up until Monday have shipped!
  11. A Nike/Adidas/New Balance Retailer Account: I was planning to make this pitch to Nike in the fall but with everything going on and some people I have met, I think I can make a strong case in June or July that we deserve to be an authorized retailer. Lots to sort out there but I think we can pull this off.
That’s it for me! Going forward I will try and keep these updates more consistent and to one topic so we can discuss in greater detail but thats what we’re working on!

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
