The 2025 Mid-Year Sneaker Progress Report

June is coming to an end, and so is the first half of 2025.

The sneaker year so far has been filled with mesh runners, new footy adjacent trends, and even the return of some of the most iconic sneakers of all time.

As is expected, our SoleSavy community was eager to chime in on what the year has offered us in 2025. We polled over 1,000 SoleSavy members to find out where their head is at for some of the biggest sneaker categories of the year.

Below, you can find the results of the SoleSavy communities’ votes. As well as an attempt from us to contextualize the results.

What is the best new sneaker silhouette of 2025? – The Nike Pegasus Premium

Nike’s most responsive Pegasus ever has certainly turned some heads this year. The sneaker has successfully made the transition into casual wear, as well- further propelling its popularity forward. The triple-stack of tech allows the Pegasus Premium a unique on foot experience ready for the pavement….. or the shopping mall floor.

What is the HOTTEST Brand of 2025, so far? – NIKE

No matter the strong efforts made by other brands in the past half decade- Nike is still king among the SoleSavy community.

It is hard to argue against it, too, considering the strong run the brand currently finds itself in. From efforts from Nike SB, to .SWOOSH, to Nike Running’s fantastic year, the brand is firing on all cylinders.

From a collaborative and retro standpoint, Nike has fired off some great sneakers. The return of the Air Max 95 has been executed tastefully, the Kobe Protro line continues to release great colorways, and the Total 90 has taken over the fashion world. All in all, Nike is delivering a wide range of great product in 2025.

Who is the best sneaker collaborator of 2025 so far? – Nigel Sylvester

Sticking within the world of Nike- Nigel Sylvester’s run with Jordan Brand has helped rejuvenate the brands collaborative space.

2024 saw Sylvester take the Air Jordan 4 RM to a new place. Purist tend to hold their nose when classic sneakers get a tweak from Jordan Brand. Thanks to Sylvester’s cosign, though, the RM was received with open arms- making for one of the most beloved sneakers from the SoleSavy community in 2024.

In 2025, Nigel Sylvester and Jordan Brand took it up another gear.

What is the sneaker of the year so far?- Air Jordan 4 x Nigel Sylvester “Brick by Brick”

That gear, would be Sylvester’s return to the classic Air Jordan silhouettes. Previously working on the Air Jordan 1 High, Sylvester and Jordan Brand tapped into the fan favorite Air Jordan 4– and delivered the communities favorite sneaker of 2025 so far.

The Brick by Brick Four arrived right on time. The collaborative roll out had sneakerheads chasing a giant brick, while the sneaker delivered a message of unity and building towards something greater.

In a year that has been filled with quality sneaker after quality sneaker, Nigel Sylvester and Jordan Brand have ran, or in this case cruised, away in the Sneaker of the Year category.

*Bonus- What Sneaker yet to release this year are you most excited for?- The UNDFTD x Air Jordan 4

This, surely, should come to the surprise of no one.

Long coveted by sneakerheads, the UNDFTD Air Jordan 4 is finally returning. The original sneaker, at this point, has surpassed mythical grail status. As Nike’s year of opening the vault continues, the UNDFTD 4 will finally return- in more ways than one.

There will surely be some great sneakers through the remainder of 2025, but it is hard to imagine any sneaker being more exciting than the grail or grails.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
