UK retailer END. have teamed up with adidas to re-issue an old model from the German brand’s archives: the adidas Paris. Unlike Nike or New Balance, adidas reaching into their vault to retro a previous release is a fairly infrequent event, making the Paris release all the more special. Limited to only 500 pairs and available exclusively through an online raffle on END.’s website, the tonal white adidas Paris is one of the year’s most limited drops.
The shoe was originally released in the 1970s as part of the brand’s “City Pack” but has never seen a release in any colorway since. This minimal, Summer-ready sneaker comes in a super lightweight construction, with a skinny Sail midsole doing little in the role of cushioning and makes this shoe more of a flat. The upper is a similar affair, using lightweight leather dyed a bright white with minimal visible stitching. The toebox and Three Stripes branding are done in the same shade of tonal white suede thats blends seamlessly with the rest of the shoe. The lacestays do feature a zig-zag cut across its perimeter however which matches well with the tread pattern visible on the shoe’s lateral sides. A numbered leather strip on the heel features your pairs’ specific number.
