The Grateful Ducks Collection Honors the Greatful Dead’s Past in Oregon

The upcoming collection honors nearly 60 years of connection between the Grateful Dead, whose genre-defying sound and psychedelia redefined American music, and Eugene, the birthplace of Nike and home to the University of Oregon.

Nike, Class Trip, and the University of Oregon are coming together to unveil the Grateful Ducks collection: a vibrant fusion of sport, music, and counterculture that pays tribute to the enduring bond between the Grateful Dead and its home away from home.

The Grateful Ducks collection brings this story to life through a full range of apparel and footwear that unites the partners’ unique visual languages and bridges generations. It celebrates the past while shaping the future of sport and style.

At the center of the collection is the Nike Air Max 90 x Class Trip x Grateful Dead, which celebrates the band’s historic 1990 shows at Autzen Stadium in a limited-edition expression of an Air Max style worn by Grateful Dead lead singer Jerry Garcia.

The shoe’s layered greens and yellows are inspired by lush Oregon landscapes, and tie-dye accents provide a distinctive nod to the Grateful Dead. Additional, Dead-inspired details include lightning-bolt Swooshes, co-branded tongue tags and custom sock liners — all marking a convergence of art, sport and sound.

The collection further blends the University of Oregon’s countercultural roots with the Grateful Dead’s timeless aesthetic through varsity and bomber jackets, sweatpants, hoodies, T-shirts and classic headwear.

The Nike x Class Trip x Grateful Dead x University of Oregon Grateful Ducks collection will be available October 21 at dead.net, October 23 at classtrip.co, and October 24 throughout the U.S. via nike.comSNKRS, Fanatics and select retail partners.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
