The sneaker is officially nicknamed the “Better with Time” Nigel Sylvester Air Jordan 1 Low OG. The sneaker puts the spotlight on his BMX roots, much like the Air Jordan 1 High did. Wear-marks and scuffs can be found throughout the upper of the sneaker, emphasizing the wear-and-tear the sneaker would experience through a life of BMX riding. The aesthetic is complimented by an aged midsole and outsole.
The sneaker will also feature a new signature box-showcased by Sylvester in his post. As previously stated, the Better with Time AJ1 Low OG is expected to release in August of 2025.

The highly anticipated sneaker is nearing.
The Air Jordan 1 Low looks poised to continue its strong 2025 with the latest collaboration between Jordan Brand and Nigel Sylvester. Sylvester, who already has one of the most beloved sneakers of 2025 under his belt, is tapping back into the Air Jordan 1 and he is doing it in style.

Sylvester previously wore the black Air Jordan 1 High sample to much fan fare in 2021. Though the sneaker never officially released, Sylvester once again wore the sneaker in the Banned campaign for the Bred 85′ this year. Thought to be remaining as a sample forever, the colorway is finally releasing this year- and it has an official nickname.
Dubbed “Nitro” the pair is expected to release as a low top, in the OG cut. Much like his previous Air Jordan 1 collaboration, the “Nitro” pair features scuffs across the leather upper, as well as a dirty aged midsole. The hits of muslin break up the rich black that makes up the upper of the sneaker. A fan favorite, the mini swoosh, also makes an appearance along the toe of the sneaker. An aged red outsole rounds out the worn in look of the Nitro, giving the sneaker the look of having experienced many miles.
Currently, the Nigel Sylvester Air Jordan 1 Low OG Nitro is expected to release in early August. The SoleSavy DROPS app will be the best way to stay on top of this release, as it is expected to be limited- and experience the demand of previous Nigel Sylvester collaborative sneakers.
