The Nike Air Foamposite One is one of the staple sneakers in any sneakerhead’s arsenal. It has the combination of distinction and history much like Air Jordan’s storied sneaker line and is the perfect canvas for virtually any colorway. Recently revealed by Complex’s Brendan Dunne, one of the silhouette’s most vaunted colors from 2012 is making its return. The legendary Nike Air Foamposite One “Metallic Red” will be making its way back to shelves next summer for the first time since 2017.
The silhouette’s biggest draw is the gleaming polyurethane foam shell with its iconic wavy, molded upper. The sneaker features nubuck accents on the eyestays while the tongue has a mesh construction for breathability. The look is completed by Penny Hardaway’s One Cent logo on the heel, the checkerboard carbon fiber plate, and the translucent heel. The release date for the Nike Air Foamposite One “Metallic Red” has yet to be announced but look for it to release next summer via Nike. The retail price is set at $230.
