The latest Nike SB crossover is nearing.
In March, Nike SB partnered with Jordan Brand to release another crossover sneaker—their second iteration of an Air Jordan 4 in the Navy colorway. As the sneaker world was buzzing about a revisit to the Jordan 4, news surfaced of an Air Max 95 collaboration. The pair, eventually surfaced on Eric Koston’s feet, essentially confirming Nike SB’s latest ambitious crossover- this time with the Air Max line.
Nike has done a rather impressive job celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95. This latest partnership with Nike SB only bolsters the celebration of this iconic Air Max model.
The Nike SB Air Max 95 “Cactus Flower” will, interestingly, be the model’s second retooling this year. The SB 95 will feature skate-centric upgrades including increased padding for support and comfort. Similarly, the sneaker is expected to feature an updated underfoot to assist in board control and feel.
The Cactus Flower 95 capitalizes on the sneaker’s iconic design to breathe new life into the sneaker turning 30. The muscle-fiber inspired side panels feature different shades of suede before they clash with premium black leather. The rest of the upper, as well as the tongue, are made of mesh for increased breathability. The pink hits break up all the neutral colors, as well as reveal the inspiration behind the sneaker. Finally, the sneaker is, literally and figuratively, held together by a gum bottom that both aims to help with the sneaker’s grip as well as provide a fan favorite aesthetic.
Fans will not have to wait much longer for the Nike SB Air Mac 95 “Cactus Flower”. Working Class skate shop has today confirmed a release date of August 2nd for Nike SB accounts. Of course, Raffles will open much before that. You can track them all via the SoleSavy DROPS app. There you can find the latest news details as well as release info and raffle management.
