Reebok continues to celebrate the icon Allen Iverson and the Reebok Question as the two legends continue their revered status in the cultural zeitgeist. The spirit of A.I. is about spreading love and together he and the Vector Brand are honoring another Philly legend with a new colorway of the Reebok Question.
The legend in question is the one and only Julius Erving aka Dr.J, the sneaker pulls inspiration from the 2002 NBA All-Star Game held in Philadelphia wherein Iverson donned the icon’s number 6 jersey during the game and the sneaker looks to emulate that moment.
The Reebok Question “Dr. J” is crafted with a white leather base and its staple mesh tongue. The silhouette mirrors Iverson’s jersey from 20 years ago with subtle hints of red and gold. Iverson’s usual #3 logo found on the heel has been replaced with Dr.J’s #6 as further homage to The Fish That Saved Philadelphia star. The shoe completes the look with a new insole graphic that draws from the 1999 issue of SLAM where The Answer honors the legend with his vintage jersey and afro.
The Reebok Question “Dr. J” drops on July 21 on Reebok.com and select retailers and will have a retail tag of $160.
