Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe Sizing and Raffle Info

Boring shoes have never looked better. After new colorway leaks of the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoes (GPS for short), Sachs followed up with a post revealing that the OG colorway will also be restocking on August 5th. Like the first release, you’ll need to have an account on his website to enter the raffle. Here is a quick guide on how to do that.

With heavy interest for this upcoming drop, SoleSavy member (and huge Tom Sachs fan) Sam took the initiative to help members with sizing recommendations! Here are his thoughts:

  • The primary concern with the GPS is the ankle collar. It is made of a material that will expand and loosen after a few wears. This will likely happen, and there is no avoiding this.
  • When starting with your TTS size, the loosening of the collar will cause your foot to slide around in the shoe.
  • However, when tightening the laces on the shoe, it scrunches up the rest of the shoe, creating an odd aesthetic where the shoe looks loose and tightly secured simultaneously.
  • For reference, I’m TTS 11.5M with wide feet. I can fit into size 11 dunks, but not anything with a narrow silhouette.

Sam’s recommendations for the 8/05 GPS release:

Go down half a size! But if you have concerns about the length, feel free to go TTS as it is not a dealbreaker.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!
