Today, Tony Hawk and Vans officially unveiled their new partnership.
No name in skateboarding history rings louder than Tony Hawk. While his official career run as a pro skater went from 1982 until 2003, Hawk has been hard at work every year in a variety of philanthropic ventures and helping foster skate culture the world over. With Vans, Hawk will fill a variety of new responsibilities including the promotion of the long-running “Off The Wall” campaign, co-creating a new Vert skateboarding competition and working on the newly announced “Foot The Bill” program.
Foot The Bill was created in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic which has seen small businesses suffer great economic repercussions. Keeping with Vans’ and Hawk’s community-driven spirit, Foot The Bill allows online customers to customize a pair of Vans sneakers using their “Vans Customs” program all while supporting 80 independent skate shops who’ve been especially impacted by this pandemic.
