Union is having a year.
After a collection of well-received Nike Dunks and Air Jordan 2s, the brand took on the legendary Nike Cortez in celebration of its 50th anniversary. After the release of the initial “Sesame” and “Off Noir” colorways, Chris and Bephie Gibbs are following up with a double dose of new colorways dropping soon.
Each pair is crafted with Nike’s Crater Foam made of recycled bits for a future-focused take on the icon. Both pairs feature a UN/LA tag on the lateral side of the sneaker and co-branding on the tongue and on the flippable heel tag. The “Light Smoke Grey” colorway features a grey suede base and pink and yellow stripes on the side completed by a blue Swoosh while the “Lemon Frost” features a tan suede base with pink and purple striations and a yellow Swoosh.
The Union Los Angeles x Nike Cortez “Smoke Grey” and “Lemon Frost” drop on Nike.com, Union Los Angeles, and select retailers on July 21. The retail tag is set at $130.
