VANDYTHEPINK’s long-awaited collaboration with atmos and ASICS is officially launching this week.

VANDY’s imprint has long found its footing in the playful approach to streetwear. To him, it is all about having fun and delivering memorable pieces to his fans. His collaboration with Pokemon was one of the highlights of not only COMPLEXCON 2024, but of coveted releases in streetwear as a whole. The collection sold out in seconds, and even warranted a restock and a promise of a future collaboration between the two down the road.

VANDY’s latest drop, “Drop 7” for the Spring and Summer 2025, carries over this feeling of joy and playfulness. Be it a free apple shaped candle, a hanger caribiner, or an Evangelion t-shirt, the latest release captured the very ethos of VANDY’s creatively fun nature.

His latest collaboration, his second in the world of sneakers, is with ASICS and atmos on the ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 10.1.

Originally released in 2008, the GEL-NIMBUS 10 features an asymmetric upper design and a signature runner mesh upper. The bold design structure was originally meant to accommodate the foot’s natural bone structure. As the mesh runner trend has taken over the world, though, it has found a new life in casual sneakers-offering a stand out look from ASICS.

Last year, the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 officially released as an updated version of the original 2008 runner. The updated model features the beloved midsole and outsole of the KAYANO 14. Thus, giving new ASICS fans both a new look but a familiar comfort to the most popular model. Since it’s release, the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 has seen a handful of collaborations, but it is VANDYTHEPINK’s upcoming collaboration that looks to bring the model to new heights.

Inspired by banana splits, VANDY’s colorful design world perfectly matches the bold nature of the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1. VANDY is no stranger to food motifs, after all, they have come to be expected by fans of his brand. On this collaboration with ASICS, the idea of the banana split is separated into two separate sneakers. The yellow pair, dubbed the Banana, feature the expected hits of yellow throughout the upper. The complimentary pink Strawberry pair mirrors it’s counterpart- with fuzzy laces to match. Chocolate lovers do not fret, though, as both sneakers feature hits of brown to round out the theme.

This collaboration perfectly encapsulates VANDY’s vision with ASICS established lineage of bold and stylish sneakers. ASICS has enjoyed a great run of collaborative sneakers that steal the spotlight, and this collaboration with Atmos and VANDYTHEPINK is looking to do that once again.

VANDY’s unique approach to his designs, and his joyous brand identity make it easy to root for this collaboration to succeed. And when it is as greatly executed as this collaboration on the GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 is, it is expected to resonate well with sneakerheads headed into the Summer season. The bold colors, the fuzzy laces, and of course the sweet motif, will surely make this another memorable project for VANDY- and another collaborative success for ASICS.

The Banana and Strawberry GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 release May 30th via onvandylab.org. Early access will be available to loyal VANDYTHEPINK customers at 11 am EST, with a general release scheduled for 12 EST. The Banana colorway will be exclusive to VANDYTHEPINK. The Strawberry colorway is expected to release at ASICS retail partners in June.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
