The Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Independence Day” is Coming Back

The Air Force 1 celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Since 1982, the Air Force 1 has evolved from a performance innovation to the cultural hallmark we now know it as.

The Swoosh has plans for the AF1 all year long with the return of classic colorways and introductions to new takes on the silhouette. And despite the Air Force 1 price increase, the imminent festivities are perfect for AF1 purists and newcomers.

Nike is bringing back a late ’90s hit as the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Independence Day” reappears. The retro stays true to the original: a white leather upper, blue glistening leather overlays & straps, and red accents on the Swoosh & Nike Air branding strap. And, of course, the legendary jewel Swoosh in that vibrant red and a translucent outsole complete the colorway.

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Independence Day” returns on April 28 for $140 on SNKRS and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
