Famed Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov continues to impact ASICS heavily. While we won’t see an official collaboration anytime soon, ASICS’ inline models still wield the same design language that Kostadinov is known for through the SportsStyle branch.
The upcoming ASICS HN2-S PROTOBLAST collection is a futuristic reinterpretation of ASICS classics with contemporary through the adopted toe box structure of the GELHOOP V6 and the midsole pieces from the NOVABLAST, the brand’s premier performance line. The HN2-S PROTOBLAST collection includes mesh underlays, patent leather overlays, an extended tongue tab, and enlarged tiger stripes.
If the design alone wasn’t eye-catching enough, a vibrant evergreen with shaded spruce and blue with purple arrive on half of the collection. The other half includes a black with grey and black with brown color scheme for a more passive take on the model.
A release date for the ASICS HN2-S PROTOBLAST collection has not been announced. However, we expect the pairs to release on ASICS.com and select retailers in the upcoming months for $160. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
