Woman Stabbed During Foot Locker Nike Dunk Release on Melrose Ave.

A woman was stabbed at the Foot Locker located on Melrose Avenue around 2 p.m. local time, according to TMZ and later reported by NBC Los Angeles.

Melrose Ave. is one of the main sneakers and streetwear hubs in the Los Angeles area, with many boutiques, retailers, and resell storefronts.

According to the TMZ article, the victim was stabbed on Melrose Ave. shortly after purchasing the shoe. The victim was rushed to the hospital. Her condition is unknown. The assailant fled the scene but is now in police custody, according to TMZ.

TMZ reports that the victim and the assailant knew each other, making it a domestic situation.
