Nike has announced a change to its SNKRS Pass system.
SNKRS Pass, which operates differently from the regular SNKRS releases, is in nature a Shock Drop that allows you to purchase and secure a pair via SNKRS to pick up at a Nike Town or a Nike partnered boutique.
The SNKRS Pass system favors the fast as it’s allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, the recently announced SNKRS Pass changes will eliminate its FCFS style.
SNKRS Pass will now be running a Draw system, similar to some SNKRS releases.
“To improve your experience, SNKRS Pass is moving away from a first-come, first-served reservation system, and instead utilizing the ‘Draw-like’ style that is common for many SNKRS launches,” the announcement states.
The new SNKRS Pass system will be rolled out in the coming weeks. The experience, according to Nike, will improve the purchasing procedures with bot filtration.
“Our goal is to create experiences that are less stressful and more convenient, and we’re confident this new layer of bot-filtration, facilitated by the ‘Draw,’ will allow for more Members like you to reserve your most sought-after pairs.”
