New Balance continues to tap into the 2002R for creativity. Following the hits from Salehe Bembury, DTLR, and in-line colorways, the 2002R has more on the way with its “Protection Pack” series.
The inaugural “Protection Pack” took over in fall 2021 with its distressed, layered look. As the rest of 2022 ramps up, the brand has more in the pipeline. The “Protection Pack” is releasing in two upcoming series: “Steel Blue,” “Navy,” “Orange,” and the second set of three that includes pink, purple, and the latest colorway with a worn & aged look.
The latest 2002R is built with mesh, suede, and leather on its deconstructed upper construction. Addiotanlly, the pair features a rugged and worn aesthetic.
A release date for the all-new New Balance 2002R “Protection Pack” colorway has not been announced. However, we expect the pair to retail for $150 on NewBalance.com and select retailers. As always, our sneaker monitors and release day strategy will have members ready for drop day.
