PUMA Hoops Launches their Women’s “About A Bucket” Collection

PUMA Hoops launched their women’s “About A Bucket” collection, which was led by creative director June Ambrose. The vision and inspiration behind the collection derives from women achieving their goal on and off the court. The name of the line is particularly special, as it represents the notion that every “bucket” is worthy of an accolade.

The new women’s “About A Bucket” capsule is an extension of PUMA Hoops women’s basketball collection. It features cropped jerseys, basketball shorts, hoodies, sweats, jackets, tees, and more. The pieces are embossed in bold graphics and PUMA branding.

The PUMA Hoops “About A Bucket” collection is now available on PUMA’s website and select retailers.

Telfar is Planning on Opening a Brick and Mortar Store in NYC

In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Telfar Clemens said a Telfar brick and mortar store is coming this year. He did not specify a date, but mentioned it will be in NYC which makes perfect sense. In the short clip released on social media, it looks like Clemens wants to keep a surprise element going and does not want to go into much detail.

This sounds like a dream come true for Telfar fans, as they will be able to shop for their favorite handbags in real life. The flagship store will also give fans a chance to purchase other Telfar items, including apparel and accessories.

Though we did hear it from Clemens himself, be sure to keep it locked with SoleSavy for more information on this potential Telfar flagship store opening.

Ralph Lauren Releasing New Collection in Collaboration with Two Leading Historic Black Colleges

Ralph Lauren is launching a new capsule in collaboration with Black Morehouse College and Spelman College. The campaign for the collection will be Ralph Lauren’s first all-Black cast, including models, creative directors and cinematographers.

The new line is founded on celebrating a long history of elite Black college style. The campaign for the line is especially significant as Ralph Lauren donated a total of $2 million dollars last year to fund student scholarships at 12 historically Black colleges and universities.

The Spelman collection features white patchwork eyelets and silk wrap dresses, symbolizing students ‘induction into the college.’ The capsule also includes a Morehouse school blazer-inspired piece, the wool flannel blazer, which was typically worn by students during their first days on campus.

The new Ralph Lauren collection with Black Morehouse College and Spelman College is set to launch on March 29.

New Balance has a Number of 550 Colorways on the way

New Balance is on a roll, especially with 550s, and this time they’re introducing many women’s exclusive colorways. The brand released the white and pink colorway this past week in Europe, featuring a white leather upper with light pink shades all around, in mesh, suede, and leather. Expect these to launch globally in the coming weeks.

Another 550 colorway we can look forward to is the “Au Lait” – a white leather base, brown hues, and the classic mesh, suede, and leather placements. The name of the shoe explains the brown hues, as in French “cafe au lait” translates into “coffee made with milk.”

Be sure to keep up with SoleSavy for more information on the New Balance 550 colorways.

Former College WBB Player Milan Bolden- Morris is Hired by Michigan Football

Last Tuesday, the Michigan Wolverines hired former Boston College women’s basketball player Milan Bolden-Morris, as their new graduate assistant. She is now the first women’s coach in P5 football since 1986.

Starting June of this year, Bolden-Morris will be in charge of working with the Wolverines’ quarterbacks. The former basketball player is currently completing her master’s degree in Sports Administration at Georgetown.

Bolden-Morris had some words to share on her new journey, stating “the opportunity to be the first female GA in the Power Five, especially the Big Ten, is an absolute honor. It speaks volumes to the efforts that Coach Harbaugh has made to create an environment of inclusion. These opportunities have been an anomaly for a Black woman until recently.”

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
