New Balance adds another star to its squad.
The Boston-based brand’s resurgence to the hardwood has been years in the making. With additions of Kawhi Leonard, Darius Bazley, Jamal Murray, Dejounte Murray, and others, NB has its eyes on more.
After months of NBA sneaker free-agency speculation, Chicago Bulls forward Zach LaVine is the latest to join the brand. LaVine, a certified bucket-getter, is coming off sneaker deals with Nike and, most recently, adidas. LaVine now looks to make an impact on the NB roster. Although, the possibility of a signature shoe has not been disclosed.
“New Balance is a brand that’s investing in me not just as a player but as an individual,” LaVine said. “I wanted to partner with a company that is equally passionate about supporting my interests beyond the court. New Balance’s creativity is making waves across hoops, and I’m excited to join a roster of athletes that aren’t afraid to approach the game in their own way.”
