A product of the late 80s, the New Balance 650 made for a perfect candidate in this pre-aged era because of its classic old-school look. After its lower-cut brother dominated the scene with an array of collabs and colorways, the New Balance 650 is getting its time in the Sun.
After a slew of collaborations with Aime Leon Dore, the classic silhouette is getting a group of colorways for the general public. Among them is a crisp white and blue colorway along with a familiar-looking red iteration. The lower half of the 650 is borrowed from the 550, making the star of the show it’s high padded and stitched collar. That collar features the most prominent hint of blue as accents, including the “N” logo on the sides, the 650 branding on the extended eyelet, and across the tongue and outsole.
The New Balance 650 in White and Blue is set to release on September 15 via New Balance and select retailers. A retail price tag has been set at $140.
