Nike loves to pay homage to the classics. The famed Nike SB Dunk “Ugly Duckling” pack from 2001 saw a retro release in 2020, and now the collection is making its way to another famed Nike silhouette in the Nike Air Max 1.

The upcoming Nike Air Max 1 Ugly Duckling “Pecan” features an entirely suede makeup except for the mesh tongues. The various shades of brown throughout the sneaker give it a premium tonal feel, a light tan suede makes up the mudguard while a dark, chocolaty brown makes up the toe box and accents the heel, and a medium brown shade appears on the overlays, which are highlighted by yellow Swooshes. Yellow also appears on the laces and the speckled outsole of the sneaker. Embroidered ducks on the heel of the sneaker complete the look.

The Nike Air Max 1 Ugly Duckling “Pecan” releases on December 20 via Nike and select retailers. The retail price tag is set at $160.
