FAMU and Nike have been making great strides. After becoming an official LeBron James school, the HBCU received a Nike Dunk Low and is following that up with a special Rattler-inspired colorway of the Nike LeBron 7.
Unlike the Nike Dunk Low, which featured bright orange overlays, the Nike LeBron 7 keeps it more lowkey. The sneaker comes with an all-black upper comprised of suede and Flywire with accents of the school’s colors throughout. Orange appears on the Swooshes, with the large one found on the lateral sides being speckled with white, whereas the smaller ones on the medial side lack the extra flair. The heel tab, insoles, and trim around the tongue are also dipped in the citrusy hue. Green accents appear around the lateral Swoosh and eyelets. A speckled air bubble matching the lateral Swoosh, the school’s logo on the tongue, and LeBron branding on the heels complete the look.
The Nike LeBron 7 “FAMU” is expected to release in the coming months for $200 via Nike and select retailers.
