Penny Hardaway’s Nike line is one of the most illustrious sneaker lines of all time, with a profusion of popular silhouettes and colorways. 2022 marked the year of the Pennaissance of his sneaker line, with Social Status remixing the Nike Air Max Penny 1 and Nike Penny 2 earlier this year and Stussy retooling the Nike Penny 2 just recently.

Following the announcement of the Nike Foamposite One “Metallic Red,” 2023 looks to continue the trend by reviving one of Hardaway’s rarest PEs for the upcoming year in the Nike Air Foamposite One PE “White.” The sneaker was first spotted on Hardaway’s feet in 1997 during a game against the champion Chicago Bulls and has yet to be released to the public after over 25 years.

The silhouette comes comprised of black leather on the upper and eyelets, a mesh tongue, tabs on the heel and tongue, and a carbon fiber plate. The sneaker is enclosed in a white Foamposite shell and is rounded out by the translucent outsole. The Nike Air Foamposite One “Penny PE” is set to release in February 2023 during the NBA All-Star weekend for $240.
