adidas Consortium and Offspring are joining forces for the first time. Of course, London’s premiere streetwear shop had to hold it down for the city and remixed the adidas Orketro “London Nights” into a love letter to London.
The 90s runner serves as the perfect canvas for a sneaker inspired by London as the sneaker draws inspiration from Brutalist architecture, which populates the town. The sneaker features a primarily grey makeup as a nod to the greys found in the cityscape, whether from centuries-old buildings or modern skyscrapers. The sneaker combines a blend of mesh, suede, and nubuck to create contrast, and the mesh base illuminates the sneaker like the city lights. Other details include glow-in-the-dark lace locks, adi-prene gel, outsole tread, and adidas Xeno hits throughout that give off a rainbow reflection in the light akin to the lights in the cityscape.
A small hologram on the heel that flips from “Adi-prene” to “Offspring” represents the growing amount of screens popping up on buses and billboards. Finally, the silhouette’s typical stitch line has been adjusted to shoe the outline of the London Thames. The Offspring x adidas Consortium “London Nights” will release on January 28 on Offspring and in Offspring stores. Each purchase of the trainer comes with a cobranded adidas and Offspring poncho. The Offspring x adidas Consortium “London Nights” retails for £130.00.
