Nike Celebrates Gigi’s Birthday With a Kobe 4 Protro

It has been three years since the unfortunate passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi. Though they may have left us too soon, Nike and Vanessa Bryant keep their legacy alive with the Nike Kobe line. With Gigi’s birthday on the way, Nike is celebrating the hooper with another colorway dedicated to the Mambacita.

The upcoming Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Gigi” inverts last year’s Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Mambacita,” which featured a black base with white accents. This iteration features a stark white coloration throughout, with black accents detailing the look. Black-and-white plaid wraps around the glossy white heel counter with Gigi embroidered above it. Gigi’s #2 and Kobe’s logo appear gilded on the heel and tongue respectively. The Nike Kobe 4 “Gigi” is expected to release on Gigi’s birthday May 1, via Nike and select retailers. The retail price is set at $180.
