The Jordan Tatum 1 “Old School” Takes Cues From the Air Jordan 12

Fresh off of its debut, the Jordan Tatum 1 will soon drop in a new “Old School” variant. The precise time it borrows from is 1996, as elements from the Air Jordan 12 decorate Jayson Tatum’s first signature sneaker.

The striped leather from the Air Jordan 12 originally inspired by Japan’s “Rising Sun” emblem carry over in black to the Tatum 1. It’s a welcomed departure from the Tatum 1’s early but typical makeup, and it comes as part of a black, red, and grey makeup that’s very Chicago friendly. Red appears on the heel strap and beneath the toe cap’s mesh, while grey is used for the branding and sole.

There’s no word yet on when the Jayson Tatum 1 “Old School” will release, but there is a nontrivial chance the sneaker will be a player-exclusive. At the very least we look forward to seeing Tatum wear it as he pursues a return to the NBA Finals, and you can download the DROPS by SoleSavy app for any updates.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!
