Sean Wotherspoon and adidas are back at it again, releasing the Gazelle Indoor “Corduroy” next week. Last November, Wotherspoon teased the collab on social media, and after months of waiting, fans can soon have their hands on the silhouette.
As the name suggests, corduroy is plastered across the upper, which comes in white, green, turquoise, yellow, and orange. To contrast the bright, abstract print, we have two sets of laces coming in navy and maroon that are paired with navy suede along the eyestays and Three Stripes branding. adidas tongue logo and heel are dressed in maroon as well. Wotherspoon’s signature peace logo is embroidered on the backside and printed on the cork-like insoles. A translucent gum outsole completes the design.
If you’ve followed Wotherspoon’s work over the years, you’ll know he’s a man of many materials. This latest collaboration is almost entirely corduroy, similar to arguably his most popular shoe, the Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 1/97. The Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 SUPEREARTH featured sections of canvas and denim throughout the upper, and his adidas EQT Support 93 had loose, floral embroidery smothered across the heel.
The Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Gazelle Indoor “Corduroy” is set to release on the adidas CONFIRMED app for $140 on May 27th at 11 AM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time).
