Nike Remixes the Air Foamposite One “Eggplant”

It’s an exciting time to be a Foamposite fanatic. After years in the backseat, Nike reinvests into the fan favorite with the “Galaxy” and “Eggplant” Foamposite One coming next year.

True diehard fans of the Foamposite series might be heartbroken because next year’s “Eggplant” silhouette won’t feature the iridescent finish the original carried in 2009. However, the Nike Air Foamposite One had initially released in 1997.

Still, there’s something to look forward to on the latest rendition. Without the shiny iridescent polish, we have a muted purple polyurethane upper that molds to your foot with extended wear. Following the original “Eggplant” model, next year’s silhouette has an icy outsole, black eyelets, and a black shank plate with a full-length Zoom Air unit.

Get your wallets ready because the Nike Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” will release in early 2024 for a whopping $240, a $10 increase over the “Metallic Red” Foamposite One available this July.
