Vans is celebrating its heritage and skateboarding culture with a new ‘Old Meets Knu’ campaign. The campaign centers around the iconic Vans Old Skool Classic and updated Knu Skool model. The Old Skool was released in 1977 and has become a staple in the worlds of skate, music, and fashion. The Knu Skool debuted in 1997 as a reimagined update with a puffed-up tongue, 3D Sidestripe, and chunky laces.
For the first installment, Vans tapped skateboarding legends from different eras to bring the story to life. Veteran skateboarder Tony Alva and rising team rider Breana Greering star in the campaign, while pro skater turned photographer Ed Templeton captured the images. To bring the Off The Wall mindset to life, Veneda Carter styled the shoot.
The Vans Knu Skool and the Old Skool Classic are available now at Vans retail locations and at Vans.com.
