Today Nike has officially unveiled their Lunar New Year collection.
Their Year of the Snake capsule will celebrate the legacy of Kobe Bryant and is dubbed – “The Year of the Mamba” collection.
The collection will feature a set of Kobe V Protros, Kobe 9 Elite High Protro “Masterpiece”, and the Kobe VI Protro “Sail”. Rounding out the collection will be sets of matching apparel including a track jacket, track pants, and long sleeve tee shirts.
The Kobe V Protro will introduce the world to this special capsule in the “Eggplant” colorway that releases tomorrow, January 9th, via SNKRS. A complimenting University Red Kobe v Protro will also release as a China exclusive. The matching apparel will be available globally at nike.com and select retail locations January 9.
The reintroduction of the Kobe 9 High continues with this “Masterpiece” colorway. The model has been updated with a react foam midsole and also features a new traction pattern on the inside of the foot. This will mark the return of this Kobe 9 colorway for the first time since its first release in 2014. This year’s release will hit us on February 8th.
Finally, the Kobe VI Protro “Sail” honors the legacy Bryant left, while also celebrating his iconic All-Star game performances. This pair will launch on SNKRS on February 13th.
