When Ronnie Fieg drops a sneaker, the world stands at attention.

After months of tease, the highly anticipated collaboration between Kith and the newly introduced ABZORB 2010 is upon us. The sneaker looks poised to be New Balance’s next big hit, and a collaboration with Fieg’s imprint will only enhance it.

Fieg reintroduced his long locked-away blog this week to breakdown the collaboration- and to reminisce on the beginning of Kith and the sneaker world looked like in 2010.

“2010 was an incredible year in my life. It was the year I started Kith. It’s when the second chapter of my career began. It was when designing footwear was the only thing that mattered to me. Everything was new, exciting, and there was a void in the market that I was ready to fill,” explained Fieg. “Over a year ago, I began having conversations with New Balance about debuting a brand new silhouette—the 2010. It’s a model that feels as relevant today as it would have then. The name made me reminisce on that time in my life, so for this release, I wanted to take it back.”

The debuting sneaker will arrive in two colorways ready for the summer. The first, mixes shades of purple and pink- and pops of light blue. The second, with a primary black upper, features hits of pink, yellow, and blue. Both pairs feature monogram Kith logos that are debossed onto the iconic N logo.

The Kith x New Balance 2010 is slated to release at the re-opening of Kith’s Manhattan flagship store on May 16th. Details about the online release are to come.

While we wait for more details about the online release, the debuting colorway of the ABZORB 2010 is available now via New Balance. The Grey Days pair is currently slated to release on May 22nd.

Sole Savy is unreal! With a busy schedule it’s hard to keep up on shoes, and the group keeps me up to date on releases, tips on how to manually cop, and a marketplace with killer deals from fellow like minded collectors. It’s changed the sneaker game for me!

@SoleSavy is the truth. They've helped me cop kicks I never would've imagined getting at retail. Members always willing to assist on drops too. And most of all, a REAL community of REAL sneakerheads. These guys should be the gold standard for sneaker communities! #LifetimeMember

My membership paid for itself three fold by being solely responsible for my union 4’s, mesh sacai waffles, sacai blazers, court purple aj1s, glow in the dark yeezy 350s, travis scott lows (which I traded to get desert ore ow’s), air max 1 londons, bc3’s for way under retail etc.

Can't say enough about SS. The stellar help with copping shoes is a given but it's the community that makes it extra special. Hands down one of the best decisions I made as a wannabe sneakerhead.

The community of sneakerheads and resources available to help manually cop are great and really will help you get more Ws. The Zoom calls for hyped drops like Union Jordan 4 only adds to the camaraderie while providing real time instruction
