Interesting year lies ahead for Yeezy. I have criticized adidas a lot for various things because I felt that they don’t have a full grasp of their own reality…last year it was “We are making millions of Yeezys”…but the problem there was they put too much faith in the 500 and 700 line.
Too many colors and too much stock lead to a lack of demand. Because of that they were forced to recall stock, make it look sold out and then do random restocks.
As we are seeing in Q3 reporting Yeezy Sales are down right now: https://www.sneakerfreaker.com/sneakers/adidas-yeezy-sales-numbers-are-down/
Not a surprise considering they miscalculated what people wanted (more 350 black) and gave them what they didnt (more random 700s).
When I spoke to adidas the other day about Q4 (Nov and December) the message was that releases are going back to being limited but there is going to be a lot of them more consistently.
As you saw in the December list I gave you there is 11 colorways coming (RF included) in the next 6 weeks.

Like I mentioned before, everything is limited EXCEPT the 350 v2 black restock (2nd biggest stock) and the new 700 v2 Zebra (crazy high stock).
adidas is putting there money on the fact that low stock on most Yeezys will lead to obvious sell outs, create hype and then drive sales of the high stock releases so they sell through completely and raise their revenue. Seems logic and should work.
It will be interesting to see what the Yeezy Boost 700 v2 Zebra looks like. The stock is very very high so they are confident it’s a hit.
